On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is unique on itself. It has large screen and has gained popularity around the world. But is it really the best Samsung phone? This article highlights the specs of these two famous Samsung mobile phones and those things to consider when buying any of them.

To begin with, let us look at the design of each. For Galaxy S4, you find that it is 7.9mm thick, 70mm wide, 130g in weight, and has a glossy plastic rear. The Samsung Note 3 has a faux-leather rear, 8.8mm thick, 80mm wide, and a weight of 163g. Having extra 0.7 inches of the screen, Samsung Note 3 is bigger than the Galaxy S4. Note 3 is roughly 10mm wider. The design of Note 3 is a bit more advanced as compared to Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 has a glossy plastic finish while Note 3 has a faux leather effect rear that has a fake stitching. The unique feature with Galaxy S4 is that it is lighter than Note 3 by 33g.

Comparing the screen of these two Samsung mobile phones, you find that the Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen and Note 3 has a 5.7 1080 Super AMOLED screen. As you can see, these two phones use high quality Super AMOLED panels of 1080p resolution. The only difference is the size of the screens. Similarities also continue when you look further into their models. Both of them use a diamond-shaped PenTile sub-pixel array. The pixels share blue and red sub-pixels. The pixel density is usually high enough to make text and images to appear sharp.

The image quality in these two mobile phones is good indeed. You can also control the color temperature. When you go to the settings menu of both phones, you will find options for cooling down the temperature and saturation of colors so as to make them look natural.

If you compare the CPU and RAM of these two mobile phones, you find that the Galaxy S4 has a 2GB RAM, Adreno 320GPU, and Snapdragon CPU 600 1.9GHz quad-core. Samsung Note 3 has a 3GB RAM, Adreno 330GPU, and Snapdragon 800CPU 2.3 GHz. As you can see, the Samsung Note 3 has a more powerful processor compared to Galaxy S4.

The camera is another important feature to look at. Both have a 13-megapixel sensor with single LED flashes. You may think that these cameras are identical, but the one for Galaxy S4 has a slight edge in many situations. The general sharpness of images is slightly better than that of Note 3.

Now which one is better, Samsung Galaxy S4 or Note 3? According to the specs discussed above, you will find that Note 3 is a more advanced Samsung phone than Galaxy S4. Its CUP is faster and the RAM is slightly larger than that of Galaxy S4. Apart from checking the specs alone, you need also to consider other factors such as price, life of the battery, storage, and many other mostly overlooked aspects. Although Note 3 is great, it is a bit costly at present compared to Galaxy S4.
